MAXWELL DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN
building a refined and UX-driven website.
Threshold partnered with Deborah Hayes Advertising to design a visually refined, concept-led website for Maxwell Downtown Brooklyn—a 40-story boutique-inspired residential tower in the heart of the borough. The site was crafted to elevate Maxwell’s identity, communicate its lifestyle-driven positioning, and deliver a seamless, engaging digital experience for a modern urban audience.
the results speak for themselves:
Luxury residential websites often lean corporate, overly dense, or visually disconnected from the lifestyle they aim to represent. Maxwell required a digital presence that felt elevated but approachable—one that could capture the building’s boutique sensibility while remaining intuitive, accessible, and conversion-focused. The challenge was to balance strong visual storytelling with clarity, usability, and leasing performance across devices.
To create a website that feels curated rather than commercial.
Sophisticated without being stiff.
Effortless, confident, and distinctly Brooklyn.
The goal was to translate Maxwell’s identity into a digital experience that reflects modern urban living—where design, authenticity, and ease coexist. A site that invites exploration and mirrors the calm confidence of the residence itself.
Website Design
The design concept drew inspiration from the effortless sophistication of George Clooney—timeless, confident, and approachable. This influence guided a visual language rooted in restraint, refinement, and ease, resulting in a website that feels editorial and intentional rather than transactional.
A contemporary, editorial aesthetic anchors the experience. Refined typography, a restrained color palette, and art-forward photography highlight the architecture and interiors while channeling Brooklyn’s creative energy. Generous white space and measured pacing allow content to breathe, creating a calm, elevated browsing experience.
Website Development
User experience was central to the approach. Clean navigation and a clear content hierarchy guide visitors seamlessly through residences, amenities, and lifestyle storytelling. The fully responsive framework ensures consistency and usability across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Interactive elements—including an embedded virtual tour, refined animations, and real-time pricing and availability—deepen engagement while maintaining simplicity. Strategically placed calls to action, such as “Schedule a Tour” and “View Availability,” support conversion goals and connect directly to the leasing journey.
that proved our strategy worked.
“Threshold did an amazing job building our custom website. They were quick to respond, turned revisions around fast, and captured the look and feel of our brand perfectly.
